Ed is medio Tico (Costa Rican mother) and has been visiting Tilaran for more than 40 years. He is a graduate of Univ. of Vermont and moved from Seattle, Wa. USA where he was a chiropractor for 17 years. He continues with a part time practice and helps with the family farm. He is a founding member of Fuentes Verdes.

Irene is the co-founder of the environmentally friendly residential construction company, Sun Structures, that built the first solar envelope house in northern Connecticut. Following that, she worked as the developer and director of the psychological counseling program for a Fortune 500 Company, before moving to Costa Rica in 2005. She is currently helping to create a "green print" that can be used as a guideline for land development around Lake Arenal.

Virginia has lived on Lake Arenal since 1990, when she moved here with her family to start an eco-friendly windsurfing resort. She has observed first-hand the quality of the changes around the lake affecting the enviornment as well as the water quality. She is a committed advocate of conservation. A founding member of Fuentes Verdes, she is also a certified massage therapist and yoga teacher.

Sandy is a naturalized citizen of Costa Rica and has lived here permanently since 1990. She has presided over the Environmental Commission of Tilarán, as well as Fuentes Verdes, and has also served on the Commission for the Implementation and Development of the Arenal-Tempisque Watershed. Formerly secretary of Fuentes Verdes, she is currently active in the Guanacaste Province Animal Welfare Foundation, which provides low-cost spay/neuter clinics to poor communities, and the La Reserva Forest Foundation, whose goal is the natural regeneration of native tropical forest.

Patricia is Costa Rican and owns a popular Tilarán restaurant and offers business consulting. Patricia knows how to get things done in Costa Rica. She offers business consultation, time management, project development and coordination, contracts, translations and problem solving. Patricia is also working on the Green Print Project.
