The Sala I ruled that at the least there are problems with the contracts of the Crucitas Gold mine. This has been a very big environmental issue as well as putting a spotlight on public figures who help negotiate such contracts. It is not over however because it will be appealed to a higher court, Sala IV.
From my perspective as the president of FV I am very happy that a hard and transparent look at this issue is being aired. The public at large needs to see how things work or don’t and then the consequences.
